The Bridge School would like to recognize Dr. Alain Harvey for his most recent achievements. His proposal to serve as a presenter at the Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching (CAST) was selected from among the several thousand received from across the United States. The conference will be held this year in Dallas between November 21-23.
More than 5,000 educators and science advocates gather for one of the nation’s premier science education conferences presented by the Science Teachers Association of Texas (STAT). This three-day festival of all things science includes hundreds of breakout sessions presented by educators such as Dr. Harvey who generously share innovative classroom strategies. CAST attendees come from each of science’s varied disciplines, but they are united by their passion for introducing students of all ages to the phenomenal world of science.
In addition, earlier this summer Dr. Harvey was one of only twenty physics teachers from across the U.S. who was chosen in a very competitive process to work and study at Fermilab, located just outside Batavia, Illinois, near Chicago. Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory is the premier particle physics lab in the United States.
Again The Bridge School would like to say congratulations and we are thankful to have such a talented educator among us.
